Wikipedia reports the following: On 24th of January 2009 Nordic Airways lost their operation permission according to latest news in Swedish media due to bad financial situation. Now classifies as defunct Swedish airline. UPDATE 20 July 2009: Nordic Airways recently re-opened as a new company with new owners and are now recruiting pilots from the old Nordic Airways.
